암살된 김정은의 이복형 김정남의 아들 김한솔을 구출하고 최근 스페인 북한 대사관을 습격했던 자유조선(전 천리마민방위)이 29일(세계표준시 기준) 성명을 발표, 크리스토퍼 안의 석방과 에이드리언 홍의 수배 해제를 요구했다. 이들은 자유조선의 지도자격으로 알려져 있으며 북한대사관 습격 사건을 주도한 혐의를 받고 있다. 자유조선이 이날 발표한 성명을 全文 번역해 소개한다.

자유조선 임시정부(전 천리마민방위)는 2017년 2월 그의 아버지인 김정남이 암살된 직후 김한솔로부터 긴급 요청을 받았다. 자유조선 임시정부는 김한솔과 그의 어머니, 그리고 그의 여동생을 그들이 직면했던 중대한 위험으로부터 성공적으로 구출해냈다.
에이드리언 홍은 이 임무를 이끌었으며 크리스토퍼 안은 김한솔과 그의 가족을 보호하고 안전하게 이동시켰다. 에이드리언 홍과 크리스토퍼 안은 중대한 위험을 감수한 진정한 영웅들이며 수 년 동안 자유의 축복을 받지 못한 사람들을 돕고 구출하는데 다른 많은 개인적 희생을 감수했다.
자유조선 임시정부는 김한솔이 우리 정부의 지도자가 아니며 한 번도 지도자였던 적이 없다는 점을 명확히 하고 싶다. 김한솔은 훌륭하고 좋은 청년이지만 우리는 혈통을 바탕으로 한 세습적인 리더십을 믿지 않는다. 선의가 있는 모든 사람은 자유조선 임시정부의 일원으로 환영받는다.
스페인 판사인 호세 데 라 마타가 지목한 다른 사람들도 전세계에서 북한인들을 구출해내는 중대한 임무에 참여했었다. 자유조선 임시정부와 에이드리언 홍과 크리스토퍼 안을 비롯한 임시정부 일원들은 해외 정부 기관으로부터 자금을 지원받은 적이 전혀 없다.
5월 29일을 기준으로, 크리스토퍼 안은 체포됐고 에이드리언 홍에게는 수배가 내려져 있다.
우리는 크리스토퍼 안을 즉각 석방하고 에이드리언 홍을 체포하는 시도를 멈출 것을 촉구한다. 노예상태로 침묵하고 있는 2500만 북한 주민들을 위한 그들의 활동은 그들이 자유를 되찾음을 통해 계속돼야만 한다.

We call for Christopher Ahn to be freed and the pursuit of Adrian Hong to end!
In February of 2017, The Provisional Government of Free Joseon (formerly Cheollima Civil Defense) received an emergency request by Kim Han Sol immediately after the assassination of his father, Kim Jong Nam. The Provisional Government of Free Joseon successfully completed a mission to rescue Kim Han Sol, his mother, and his sister from immediate and critical danger to safety.
Adrian Hong led this mission and Christopher Ahn personally protected and escorted Kim Han Sol and his family. Adrian Hong and Christopher Ahn are true heroes who took great risks and have made many other personal sacrifices for many years to help and rescue those not blessed with freedom.
The Provisional Government of Free Joseon wishes to clarify that Kim Han Sol is not and never was a leader in our government. Kim Han Sol is a fine and good young man, but we do not believe in hereditary leadership based on bloodline. Anyone with good intentions is welcome as a member of the Provisional Government of Free Joseon.
Others named by the Spanish Judge, Jose de la Mata, have also participated in high stakes rescues of North Koreans across the world. The Provisional Government of Free Joseon and its members, including Adrian Hong and Christopher Ahn, have never received funding from foreign government agencies.
As of May 29, 2019, Christopher Ahn has been arrested and United States Marshals are actively pursuing Adrian Hong.
We call for the immediate release of Christopher Ahn and for the end to the pursuit of Adrian Hong. Their work on behalf of 25 million enslaved and silent North Korean citizens must continue with the resumption of their freedom!
