[¿¡¹Ý½º ¸®ºñ¾î Àü ±¹¹«ºÎ ¼ö¼®ºÎÂ÷°üº¸]¡°No one wishes Korea to have a ¡°bad¡± relationship with China, and there is broad understanding in the US that the ROK needs to manage its ties with the PRC carefully because of its economic ties with China. But other countries also have close economic ties with China — including the U.S. — and that is not preventing them from speaking out about China¡¯s excesses when the situation demands it.¡±

One of the main reasons for the U.S.-ROK alliance is to prevent the DPRK from mounting a repeated full-scale military assault on the ROK as it did in 1950.
