The double figures of Korean doctors, angels and demons

Korea has numerous distinct things. They are primarily odd and negative, rejecting their country's founding and founding father while also having the greatest rates of low birthrate, abortion rate, and poverty among the elderly. One example is doctors' continuous collective refusal to provide medical care. They don't care for emergency patients in emergency rooms, intensive care units, and operating rooms, who are in critical condition, and they refused to treat outpatients. Korean physicians prioritize their personal interests over patients' lives. It is quite cruel. There are, of course, massive doctor strikes in other nations. However, the majority of their motivations for striking were for treatment improvements, such as salary increases.

In other nations, they do not indulge in reckless group activities, just like Korean physicians leave the hospital while abandoning critically ill patients. However, Korean physicians show all aspects of humans. Their kind hands and smiles for immobile patients in beds remind us of angels. However, they unexpectedly transform into demons and cast the victims into hell. It's like a wicked, vicious double character. This personality-destroying feature of them is clearly seen in the texts they left in their communities. "When you leave the hospital, ensure that no other doctors utilize the data in the folder. It is important for you to modify the established order so that other physicians cannot utilize it. This is similar to a message left by someone whose character has been fully destroyed, or by a sophisticated criminal organization.

More than 20 years ago, my mother and mother-in-law were hospitalized to Yeouido St. Mary's Hospital and Gyeonghui Medical Center, respectively. Even then, physicians went on strike, just as they do now. The mood at the hospital was, in a word, intense. Fortunately, my mother and mother-in-law had undergone significant surgery, but each day was filled with anxiety and nervousness. Seeing the doctors' strike today, I can't help but recollect the worried and unpleasant feelings I had at the time.

Doctors are always highly regarded. They dedicate and prioritize the lives of patients before their own. It is impossible to perform without a sense of responsibility as a doctor. However, if physicians abandon their feeling of responsibility and continue to organize huge strikes and minimize patients' lives, they will be no different as vulgaris, who just reveal money. Their basic faith in doctors, let alone public trust and respect, will be shattered.

A medical license requires them to do their utmost to protect people's health and life. However, if they continue to refuse, medical licenses will lose their meaning. The authorities should revoke their medical license immediately. Doctors, too, should remove their white robes, which symbolize honesty, service, and sacrifice.
