Statement of the Congress of the Republic of Korea on the National Emergency (CRKNE) on the Situations That Face the Nation
September 4, 2018
Today, the Republic of Korea is confronting the worst national emergency since its founding 70 years ago. The Republic of Korea, the showcase of a success story of world renown of a free democracy that owes so much to the blood, sweats and tears of the entire nation for her triumphant accomplishments thus far is now on the verge of a collapse. The whole nation is now being swept by a massive wholesale tsunami of multiple crises, those of national identity, national security and compound economic emergency.
The Korean society in its entirety is seen engulfed by a colossal chopping wave that is subjecting the whole nation to an emergency of a totally new multi-layered and far-flung nature that this nation has not seen before. We are called to take a hard, realistic look at our current situations and recognize our problems correctly:
In the first place, our free democracy is currently on the verge of a collapse. We solemnly recognize that the Republic of Korea is a nation founded, and dedicated, to such lofty values universally enshrined throughout the history of mankind as freedom and equality for all, human rights, democracy, rule of law and a market-oriented economy.
Freedom, among others, is by far the core value standing out as the foundation of all the rest of social values. When they braved their lives shoulder-to-shoulder during the Korean War of 1950-1953, "freedom" was the sole cause that put the forces of the Republic of Korea and the United States of America as well as those from other United Nations member countries under the unified command of the "United Nations Command" to preserve the young republic from being molested by the Communist aggressors
To our dismay, the Moon Jae In regime is now found committing itself to the goal of pushing through a Constitutional Amendment in its attempt to hew the pillar of the republic's identity by means of having "free democracy" referred to in Article 4 of the Constitution rephrased simply as "democracy." It is to our surprise, too, that the Moon regime is also in denial of the incontestable historical facts that the Constitution of the republic was first established in 1948 and that the republic gained her independence in the same year.
It is noteworthy that, recently, President Moon branded the entire modern era in the history of the republic that had preceded his inauguration as an "Era of Injustice," asserting that it was his mission to "build anew a Fair and Just Nation." However, President Moon is ignominiously ignoring the fact that he was sworn in as the 19th President of the republic in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of 1948. If the 70 years that had preceded his own launching as president of the republic were to be branded as an "Era of Injustice," as alleged by himself, it leads to the paradox that Moon himself was sworn in as the "19th" of the "Injust Presidents."
We have reasons to believe that the Moon regime has a hidden, undisclosed reason of its own as it tries to have "free democratic basic order" in Article 4 of the Constitution rephrased simply as "democratic basic order." It is our suspicion that the Moon regime is trying to do the rephrasing with the ulterior purpose of fabricating a common semantic ground between the Republic of Korea's "free democracy" and North Korea's "people's democracy" in its attempt to pave the road toward a "federation" with Kim Jong Un's North Korea that will eventually warrant a "unification under communism."
Right now, the Republic of Korea is a country which is having a civil war, sansexchange of live fire, between those forces committed to the cause of preserving their republic and those others who are devoted to its overthrow.
In the second place, the Moon regime is on its path toward a "suicide" of the republic's national security. With the passing of two months' time from the U.S.-North Korea summit talks in Singapore, the true face of North Korea's nuclear game is seen surfacing from under the surface of the water.
Reports have it that, Kim Young Chul, powerful head of the Department of the United Front of North Korea's ruling Workers' Party, recently wrote to President Donald J. Trump of the United States of America threatening that, unless the North Korean demand for a "declaration formally ending the Korean War," regardless of whatever that meant in detail, was accepted by the U.S., as a 'precondition' to whatever steps North Korea would take to "denuclearize" the North, the "deal" allegedly cut in Singapore between the U.S. and North Korea might be in vain. It is beyond question that a "declaration formally ending the Korean War" in advance of North Korea's "denuclearization" is tantamount to a prelude to the Republic of Korea's national security committing a "suicide."
We cannot but point out that the Moon regime's current footsteps in dealing with the inter-Korean relations in the context of North Korea's nuclear issue are tantamount to the path that South Vietnam trod to the "Agreement for Ending the War and Restoring Peace in Vietnam" of April 30, 1973. While dubbed by the world, euphemistically but wrongfully, as a "Paris Peace Accord," the bogus "peace agreement" was to serve as the door opener for South Vietnam to succumb to its ultimate takeover by the North as of April 30, 1975, and subsequently a communist-dominated unification of the entire Vietnam achieved through the force of arms leading to massive Vietnamese 'boat people' as well as a holocaust a la Veitnam.
It must be pointed out that there is little doubt that Moon's Blue House is not free from responsibility for the illicit import of the North Korean coal, in a flagrant violation of the United Nations Security Council resolutions, with the reported revelation of the fact that the customs authorities had been under instruction from the Blue House to refuse to cooperate with the police investigation into the suspected illicit import of the North Korean coal. We are firmly of the belief that the suspected illicit coal transfer should be looked into by a parliamentary probe. To our utmost regret, the issue of coal, among other things, is clearly an indication that the Republic of Korea under Moon Jae In is flagrantly in collusion with North Korea under Kim Jong Un in cheating the United States under the pretext of "nationalism."
In the third place, the Republic of Korea is finding herself subjected to a multi-layered economic crisis of an unprecedented nature and magnitude. We are currently saddened to witness the "Miracle of the Han River" turning into the "Tears of the Han River." South Korea's economy today is without an emergency exit. Under the Moon regime, the Republic of Korea is clearly headed toward an era of zero growth ahead of time, as her national economy is relentlessly pushed to the cliff by means of policies unmistakably committed to the bankruptsy of her free market economy.
It is remarkable that the Moon regime is, notwithstanding, remaining committed to an extremely dangerous economic experiment of a pseudo economic policy that allegedly pursues an "income-oriented growth." Alas, the Moon regime's economic policy is doomed to a failure as it is trying to have economic realities fitted into an immature and untested conceptual framework. Have we ever seen in the past thousands of self-employed people of small businesses braving tonsures and erecting protest tents at the Kwanghwamoon Plaza in Seoul in protest? Isn't it itself a living index of the miserable state of national economy managed by the Moon regime?
Furthermore, the Moon regime has fired a highly respected lady specialist as Commissioner of the Statistics Korea, replacing her with a man publicly decried as the product of a blatant practice of favoritism, widely suspected as an attempt to subjugate the national statistics as a means to massage and manipulate it to deny the public an access to actual statistical figures.
By engaging in the illicit cyber operation called the "Druking Operation," the Moon Jae In and Im Jong Seok clique has not only attempted to deceive the public but also trampled down one of the Constitutionally upheld basic rights of the people which is the freedom of expression. The clique has wantonly resorted to such abuses as organized violences in the form of "candle-light" street demonstrations, cyber manipulation of public opinion surveys as well as a variety of other techniques of propaganda and agitation to keep the public subjected to deception.
The Moon regime's DNA is characterized by deception as well as propaganda and agitation. The regime makes it routine to conduct the state functions by means of such soap-opera side-shows like draft beer parties, takeout coffee parties, Dokto shrimp parties and Trump hair-style look-alike parties. Devoid of brains, the regime thrives exclusively on such sensualities as politicized versions of entertainment events as well as propaganda and agitation. Taking advantage of new techniques of propaganda and agitation as such, the regime is wholly devoted to monopolizing the political power by means of subjugation of the entire nation to a dichotomy of "us versus you."
We believe that it is now time for us to demand that the Moon regime expose its true identity to the public. We take this opportunity today to warn that, should the Moon regime keep on driving the republic on a path toward a national emergency through continuation of its deception of the public, it will not be long before the entire nation will rise up to hold the regime accountable.
With the statement in the above in mind, we, those who gathered here under the banner of the Congress of the Republic of Korea on National Emergency (CRKNE), have the following to ask:
1. We demand that the Moon Jae In regime instantly abandon its clandestine scheme to subvert the free democratic basic order of the Republic of Korea that it attempts to achieve through a constitutional amendment pursued sub rosaand demand that the regime accede to the historical truth that the Republic of Korea gained her independence in 1948. We also demand that the law enforcement authorities immediately bring justice to those who are committed to the unlawful attempt to overthrow the state of the Republic of Korea.
2. We demand that the Moon Jae In regime remain committed to the goal of pursuing a "complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization of North Korea" as a top-priority policy of the republic, departing from talking about a "formal ending" of the Korean War declared before the end of the current year, and pursue improvement of human rights situations in North Korea by all possible means. We also demand that, in dealing with North Korea, it be made sure that emphases be given to a water-tight cooperation with the United States and a meticulous vetting of North Korea's intentions as well as tactics.
3. We demand that the Moon regime instantly discard its economic policy that focuses on the pursuit of an "income-oriented growth" and abandon its stated intention to discard the atomic power as the main source of energy. We also demand that the Moon regime immediately put an end to its wanton persecution of private enterprises and embark on a new march to a "Second Miracle of the Han River."
4. We demand that the Moon regime faithfully carry out its obligation under the United Nations Security Council resolutions imposing economic sanctions on North Korea and cancel all of the economic assistances under consideration for North Korea in the absence of progress with respect to the North Koren nuclear issue. We also demand that the National Assembly carries out a full-scale parliamentary investigation into suspected economic transactions with North Korea in violation of the UNSC resolutions, particularly including the suspected importation of coal from North Korea.
