Holy Father, I am a plain writer in South Korea. I was glad to hear the news that a Korean martyr's statue is built in Basilica Vaticana. But I need to appeal to Your Holiness in the name of Korean History and Bible's teaching.

Korea has been used Hanja(ùÓí®, so called Chinese Letter) more than two thousand years just as China and Japan. All of Korean historical scripts are by this letter accumulated.

So called Hangul(ÇѱÛ) is made at 15th century to help pronunciations of Korean language. Even after Hangul made Hanja has been Korea's official letter.

At 1910 Japan conquered Korea and Korean Peninsula became part of Japanese Empire.

At 1945 Japanese Empire yielded to United States. US claimed Japan cease to use Hanja. Japan appealed to US to cancel the claim. But South Korea(part of the defeated Japanese Empire) accepted that claim. So Hangul became the exclusive official letter at South Korea.

Hangul is very simple so they say very easy to learn. But hence it can express Korean language not precisely. Not to say that it cannot discriminate many homonyms by spellings, it cannot express pronunciations precisely.

So Hangul is said to be used by lowest intellected people who cannot learn Hanja. Korean politicians who pose as progressive often utilize Hangul to show off their progressiveness by proclaiming to use only Hangul and not to use Hanja.

But today most people receive elementary school's education. That Hanja is not difficult to learn is proven at China and Japan.

However at South Korea, high class social power almost forces people to use only Hangul and not to use Hanja. By public writings and education curriculums.

To care for low intellected people's right and to increase low intellected people is different.

Just like

To care for poor people's right and to increase poor people is different.
To care for disabled people's right and to increase disabled people is different.
To care for sexual minority's right and to increase sexual minority is different.

That South Korea's high class power force people not use Hanja resulted as follows.

Since people don't know Hanja, they cannot communicate neighbor country Japan and China. So common people lose their opportunity to trade with neighbor country. South Korea, different from countries of Europe, East South Asia, Africa and so on, does not have similar sized neighbor countries. So very 'narrow'.

To bound people domestically helps high class power to maintain their privilege.

South Korea's common people do not know their language precisely. They are deprived of their opportunity to increase intellect during life. They cannot learn academical areas correctly without going abroad to study. So compared to high class people who can go abroad freely, common people's children have much less opportunity for academical study. This helps class fixation.

If Catholic helps South Korea's annihilation of Hanja, helps South Korea's high class power's class fixation.

Is Catholic approve that all countries should throw out their native language and become English using countries? Just like before the Babel Tower happening? Or to let Catholic be in harmony with each country's native culture and flourish together?

God wants His people to increase their intelligence during life or not?

'¼º' is very vague. It can mean not only 'saint' but also 'sex(àõ)', 'castle(àò)', 'achieve(à÷'), 'voice(á¢)', 'star(àø)', 'ape(àú)', etc. Ought to be specified by á¡.

If Kin Dae Geon has come to live today, he would write his name as ÐÝÓÞËï not as ±è´ë°Ç. ÐÝÓÞËï has meaning in family of Gold(ÐÝ) with family name Great(ÓÞ) Building(Ëï) but ±è´ë°Ç has no meaning. The abbreviated pronunciations by Hangul are too rough so each syllable cannot contain any meaning. Is European developed countries' people's names have meanings or not?

'¾Èµå·¹¾Æ' is OK. Since Hangul is for simple pronunciation, it can be used to script foreign names. Although Koreans cannot know soon the meaning of the name '¾Èµå·¹¾Æ', It is translated without much loss because no less characters are used compared to the original word. But to write Hanja only by Hangul is, by much decrease of strokes, vanish the meaning.

¡®»çÁ¦¡¯ is also vague. It can mean ¡®teacher and student(ÞÔð©)', 'privately made(Þçð²)'. It should be specified by 'ÞÉ𮡮.

Although '¼ø±³ÀÚ' can be supposed to âæÎçíº, by ¼ø±³ÀÚ can communicate meanings little. âæ is to submit death Îç is religion íº is person.
