2024년, 3월 1일. 105회 대한민국 삼일절 기념일, 이승만(광화문) 광장 집회 사진 구경하세요. 칼바람을 동원한 체감 온도는 영하 12도였다. 이는 우리의 몸을 얼어 붙게 했다. 하지만, 나라 사랑을 실천하시는 전국에서 모이신 분들의 애국심을 막을 순 없었다. 체감 온도 영하 12도는 내가 군대에서 경험했던 영하 30도(옛날 강원도 군대생활 때 경험)와 같았다.

집회가 끝날 때까지 그 추운 아스팔트 바닥과 콘크리트 계단 등에 앉아 힘차게 태극기를 흔들고 애국가를 부르는 애국자들의 얼굴얼굴에는 나라 사랑과 더불어 나라 걱정으로 가득했다. 한양대 성악가 출신의 유동규씨가 부른 '그리운 금강산'은 모두의 심금을 울렸다. 감사합니다.

I shot these photos on March 1, 2024, during a rally in Rhee Syng-man's Square commemorating the 105th anniversary of Independence Movement Day. Due to severe winds, today's -4 degrees C' seemed more like -12 degrees C'. The fierce cold caused our bodies to freeze. However, it did not freeze the patriotism of all those who love their homeland, Korea. The wind chill I felt today was minus 30 degrees C'. (Previously, I served in the military in Gangwon Province.)

The patriots remained in their seats until the meeting ended. They sat on the freezing asphalt road and concrete stairs, waving Korean flags and chanting the national song enthusiastically. Their expressions were filled with love and worry for their nation, Korea. Yoo Dong-kyu, a Hanyang University singer, sang "Missing Mt. Geumg" which struck everyone's hearts.
