세계에서 국민평균 IQ가 가장 높은 나라들은 심가포르 홍콩 한국 대만 일본 중국 등 한자문화권이다. 한자와 한글을 같이 쓰면 뇌의 여러 기능을 활성화시킨다는 연구도 있다. 한자를 배우면 어휘력이 풍부해져 교양인이 되고 평균수명 평균소득도 높아진다(OECD 보고서). 인간은 어휘력 만큼만 출세한다고 한다.

장동혁과 한동훈의 어휘력 차이는 크다. 한 사람은 不實선거와 不正선거를 구별하지 못하여 전국 재선거를 선동한다. 이게 2700만 투표자의 참정권을 부정하는 것도 모르고 참정권 수호라고 외친다. 부실과 부정을 혼동하는 야당대표의 文解力 때문에 분열과 반목 등 국가적 낭비가 너무나 크다.

장동혁은 판사 출신인데 수사도 재판도 받은 적 없는 한동훈을 범죄자라고 불러 예사로 명예를 훼손한다. 헌법에 명시된 無罪추정권을 무시하는 법률가는 가중처벌로 제명감이다. 그를 추종하는 이들의 IQ 조사를 하면 흥미로울 것이다.

동물세계에서 IQ가 가장 높은 건 고래를 잡아먹는 범고래이다. KILLER WHALE은 백상어를 죽이지만 인간을 공격한 기록은 없다(수족관에선 조련사를 죽인 사례가 있다). 윤석열은 자신의 힘을 過信, 공화국을 공격했다가 자멸했고 장동혁은 그런 윤석열을 추종하다가 망가지고 있다.

"하룻 강아지 범 무서운 줄 모른다"는 속담은 자신의 실력을 과대평가할 때 무슨 禍를 당할지를 경고한 말이다. 내가 장동혁을 강아지에 비교했다고 욕하고 나설 사람들이 많을 것 같은데 그들의 문해력에 대해선 할 말이 없다.

한국 보수의 치명적 실수는 언어가 인간존재에 끼치는 전면적 영향력에 무지하여 편의적으로 한자를 배제, 한국어를 半身不隨로 만들어 국민교양의 바탕을 무너뜨린 점이다. 문해력 문제를 통탄하면서도 한자를 배우면 자동적으로 해결된다는 점을 지적하지 않는 것은 한글우상숭배 때문이다. 세계에서 가장 우수한 表音문자 한글은 세계에서 가장 우수한 表意문자 한자의 도움을 받을 때 정상작동이 가능하고 더욱 빛난다. 언어가 존재의 집이라면 한자를 포기한 한국인의 정신은 비 새는 집에서 살고 있다. 비 새는 정신을 가진 富者는 오래 못 간다.

The countries with the highest average IQs in the world are largely those within the Chinese character (Hanja/Kanji/Hanzi) cultural sphere. There are also studies suggesting that using both Hanja and Hangul activates multiple functions of the brain. Learning Hanja enriches one's vocabulary, cultivates intellectual sophistication, and is even associated with higher life expectancy and income, according to OECD reports. People often say that a person's success is ultimately limited by the extent of their vocabulary.

The gap in vocabulary and language ability between Jang Dong-hyuk and Han Dong-hoon is striking. One cannot distinguish between a poor election and an election fraud, yet calls for a nationwide rerun of the election. He does not even realize that such a proposal would invalidate the voting rights of 27 million citizens who had voted, while claiming to be defending those very rights.

The inability of the leader of the opposition party to distinguish between a poorly managed election and a rigged election has brought enormous national costs through unnecessary division and political conflict. Although Jang Dong-hyuk is a former judge, he casually calls Han Dong-hoon a criminal despite the fact that Han has never even been investigated or tried in court. A lawyer who disregards the constitutional presumption of innocence and defames others in this manner deserves expulsion with aggravated consequences. It would be interesting to measure the IQ of his supporters.

Among animals, the orca is believed to have one of the highest levels of intelligence. Orcas, also known as killer whales, sometimes prey on great white sharks, yet there are no confirmed cases of them attacking humans in the wild (although there have been fatal incidents involving trainers in captivity). Yoon Suk Yeol overestimated his own power, attacked the constitutional republic, and ultimately destroyed himself. Jang Dong-hyuk is now following the same path by continuing to align himself with Yoon.

There is a Korean proverb that says, "A puppy knows no fear of a tiger." It warns against overestimating one's own abilities and underestimating the consequences. I expect many people will accuse me of comparing Jang Dong-hyuk to a puppy, but I have little to say about the reading comprehension of those who would interpret the proverb so literally.

One of the Korean conservative movement's most serious mistakes has been its failure to appreciate the profound influence that language has on human thought. By conveniently excluding Hanja from education, it has effectively reduced the Korean language to a crippled state, undermining the very foundation of public culture and intellectual life. People constantly complain about the decline in reading comprehension yet refuse to acknowledge that teaching Hanja would, almost by itself, solve much of the problem. Such silence is the product of an almost religious worship of Hangul.

Hangul is the finest phonetic writing system in the world. Hanja is one of the finest logographic writing systems. Hangul shines even more brightly when complemented by Hanja.

If language is the house of being, then the minds of Koreans who have abandoned Hanja are living in a house with a leaking roof. And those whose minds are built upon such a fragile foundation, no matter how wealthy they become, cannot remain prosperous for long.
