독일 외교부는 북한의 탄도 미사일 발사를 강력히 규탄한다고 밝혔습니다. 독일 외교부 대변인은 6일 보도자료에서 “북한은 유엔 안전보장이사회 결의에 따른 의무를 심각하게 위반하고 국제적, 지역적 안정와 안보를 위태롭게 했다”고 지적했습니다.

[독일 외교부 대변인]The German Government vehemently condemns the testing of a ballistic missile by North Korea. This ballistic missile test constitutes a serious violation of the obligations set out by the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, and thus jeopardises international and regional stability and security.”

또한 “독일 정부는 북한에 국제법에 따른 의무를 준수하고 미국과 한국의 대화 제안을 받아들여 핵과 미사일 프로그램 해체와 관련한 진지한 협상을 개시할 것을 다시 한 번 촉구한다”고 덧붙였습니다.

[독일 외교부 대변인]“The German Government once again calls on North Korea to abide by its obligations under international law, to accept the offers of talks put forward by the United States and South Korea and to enter into serious negotiations on the dismantling of its nuclear and missile programmes. North Korea is bound to the complete, verifiable and irreversible ending of its programmes to develop weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missiles.”

이어 “북한은 완전하고 검증 가능하며 되돌릴 수 없는 방식으로 대량살상무기와 탄도 미사일 개발 프로그램을 종식할 의무가 있다”고 강조했습니다.

영국 외교부도 이날 아만다 밀링 아시아 담당 국무상 명의의 보도자료를 통해 북한의 탄도미사일 시험 발사를 비판했습니다. 밀링 국무상은 “영국은 북한의 탄도미사일 시험 강행 결정에 깊이 우려한다”며 “이는 복수의 유엔 안보리 결의 위반이자 지역 평화와 안보에 위협이 된다”고 밝혔습니다. 그러면서 “북한에 추가 도발을 자제하고, 완전하고 검증 가능하며 돌이킬 수 없는 비핵화를 위한 구체적 조치를 취할 것을 촉구한다”고 덧붙였습니다.

[밀링 국무상]“The UK is deeply concerned by North Korea’s decision to carry out a ballistic missile test; this violates multiple UN Security Council Resolutions and poses a threat to regional peace and security. We urge North Korea to refrain from further provocations and take concrete steps towards complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearisation.”

또한 “영국은 동맹, 파트너와 함께 한반도 평화, 규칙에 근거한 국제 체제 유지, 그리고 북한의 불법 행위 종식에 전념하고 있다”며 “북한에 미국과의 대화 복귀를 강력히 촉구한다”고 강조했습니다.

[밀링 국무상]“Alongside our allies and partners, the UK is committed to peace on the Korean Peninsula, upholding the rules-based international system and securing an end to North Korea’s unlawful activities. We strongly encourage North Korea to return to dialogue with the US.”

캐나다의 외교 업무를 담당하는 글로벌부(Global Affairs Canada)는 트위터를 통해 “캐나다는 북한의 탄도미사일 시험 발사를 규탄한다”고 밝혔습니다. “북한의 최근 탄도 미사일 발사는 유엔 안보리 결의에 위배되고 역내 평화와 안보를 위협한다”는 비판입니다.

이어 “우리는 북한에 국제 의무를 준수하고 외교에 복귀할 것을 촉구한다”고 덧붙였습니다. 프랑스는 유엔 안보리의 즉각적인 대응을 촉구했습니다. 니콜라 드 리비에르 유엔주재 프랑스 대사는 트위터에 “북한이 극초음속미사일이라고 주장하는 것을 시험했다”며 “이 같은 발사는 국제사회의 평화와 안보에 대한 위협이며 유엔안보리 결의에 대한 명백한 위반”이라고 지적했습니다.

[니콜라 드 리비에르 대사]“North Korea tested what they claim to be a hypersonic missile. Such a launch is a threat to international peace and security, and a clear violation of UNSC resolutions. It is the responsibility of the Security Council to address it promptly.”
